My name is Luis mccoy. I’ve been a fully qualified level 3 personal trainer and fitness instructor for over 5 years. It started as part time in the U.K. Along side my full time occupation as a full time footballer.
Having been in high level football academies since the age of 9, my experience and knowledge of exercise and conditioning relevant to performance is second to none. Having been part of professional football clubs such as Norwich city in the premier league, Leyton orient in league 1 and Histon Fc in the English conference.
Also at 17 was part of the world renowned Nike academy. Where at that time I was recognized by there famous Nike spark testing system in the top 10% of athletes between the ages of 16-18 in the whole of the U.K.
At 16 I went into full time football and learned day in day out the benefits and methods of effective training and conditioning. At 20 I moved back to Gibraltar and pursued a full time job in personal training due to injury in football.
I began work at ocean village health club and quickly gained a client basis. After excelling at ocean village I was offered the first managerial role of reshape and rumble gym and also given the responsibility of head master trainer despite being the youngest in the company at 20-21, looking after 10 instructors in total.
After 6 months I furthered my personal training career by starting my own business. I began by going to the U.K. To learn and gain experience at velocity training club. The most renowned strength and conditioning facility in the U.K. I worked closely with Jaime Reynolds and glen read. Glen read being the former first team s and c coach of crystal palace fc for 5 years and Jaime Reynolds is one of the highest sort after pts and s and c coaches in the world. His clientele is of world class including Anthony Joshua world heavyweight champ, cristiano ronaldo, Marcus rashford and the list goes on.
Returning to gib I used the skills and knowledge gained with my current client basis and also began work closely with the gibraltar football association as part of there strength and conditioning team for there youth system.
I specialize in athletic performance but believe that this method of training is relevant to any client whether they have a set goal, are a normal gym going or a height level athlete
